The fact that the Democrats don't have an alternative to Hillary Clinton in 2016 means they are bankrupt of leadership. They have no one to deliver their message because they do not have one. They have relied on a false prophet for ten years and now they are tied to him and cannot shake loose.
This election is not over, however. We still have the Republicans to entertain us. Hopefully we will produce a leader with a few answers, someone who has common sense and a willingness to negotiate with Congress to "get things done", to use Obama's words which are belabored and beyond his reach.
Hillary, as we all know, is a socialist right out of the sixties. She is the person standing in the back, sipping champagne while she quietly criticizes good people who are trying to make a difference. Folks nod their heads. She thinks they are agreeing and that is a sign that she would have their support in her Presidential election...her mind works like that, I'll wager...wouldn't you? But really, they just wish she would shut up so they could hear.
If we learned anything from 2014 it is that a significantly large number of Democratic voters will not vote unless they have a "savior" running. I see Bush, Ryan, Christie...but I don't see a "savior". Then I see Ben Carson and in him I see a shot in the arm that this nation desperately needs and he can beat Hillary hands down. His is a message of common sense and personal responsibility. Experience does not matter nearly as much as some claim. Character and personal integrity matter so much more. I sincerely hope we can nominate the man and get him elected. Jim Self
