Morning Coffee: Don't Be A Victim By Choice

I wonder if if isn't true that most Muslims in America are what I would call "luke warm". I have never seen a Muslim praying in public. And praying five times a day is a loooong way from picking up an AK and vanquishing dozens of innocent people. Why would anyone come to America knowing that it would one day result in their violent death? For them and their children? My point is that virtually all of them want to live an American life of freedom and opportunity in the land of plenty.
On the other hand, there will be those Muslims who are radicalized into fanatics. I think they will be few and far between. I think the radicalizing mullahs will more and more be reported and deported. Inciting people to kill is still illegal in this country.
In light of this, it is smart to consider what options you prefer to have available when caught in the middle of a terrorist attack from some of these idiots. Personally, I prefer to have my .38 which I can shoot very accurately, as anyone can learn to do, so I can send these people to their final destination. It is better than laying down and waiting for my turn to die. Get your concealed weapons permit. Buy a 5 shot .38 caliber revolver and stick it in your pocket and forget about it. Until you use it it's just a piece of steel in your pocket that reminds you to be careful and pay attention to what's going on around you. Don't be a victim by choice. We cannot stop this stuff. Not all of it. But we can do something about it. Think globally. Act locally.

Syrian Refugees In America Will Be A Problem

December 5, 2015
Welcoming tens of thousands of refugees into the U.S. sounds like a wonderful thing if that's all there is to it. The President says opponents are scared of two year old children. What happens when their fathers and older brothers are needed by these families? They will be allowed to enter, too. We will have to let them in. Who would deny the fathers and brothers the opportunity to join their families? That is what the President will say, be it him or Hillary. These terrorist attacks will become commonplace in America as a result of this. As I have said before, Muslim populations in America will self-ignite into terror actions. As Ben Carson says, it would be much better for everyone if we support the refugee crisis over there. Not here.

We Are Welcoming Evil Into Our Midst With Syrian Refugees. We Can Support Them Over There! Just Say NO!

"Robust vetting" of refugees is a blind alley. It is clearly impossible.  Syria does not have the same infrastructure that we have for maintaining historical databases of the bad guys in their communities. Pedophiles, murderers, thieves, rapists, and others come right along with the good people.
Beyond that, the larger problem is that the process of assimilation in other parts of the world, the UK and France being the two most obvious examples, consists of piling up of immigrants into large communities which occurs naturally, and then the establishment of Mosques which seem to inevitably fall under the influence and control of radicals. THEN we have Muslim clerics radicalizing young Muslims by the hundreds right here in the United States! Instead of religious institutions they become terrorist training houses.  It will be them against us in all things while they demand medical access, education, which any person certainly deserves, demands of government in favor of their traditions and laws which plainly are inappropriate and in many issues unconstitutional. You see the demonstrations and rioting that are happening in Europe? The same things will happen here. This is no conservative scare tactic. It is happening over there and we are bringing the same fertile ground  here. Once it is here we cannot stop it. NEVER will be be able to round them up and send them back to their homeland. NEVER.
The Syrian revolution and ISIS Radical Islamic issue has created it's own secret weapon...refugees. These people are a weapon. Inevitably, they will be infiltrated by Radical Muslim Clerics. Then the smoke you smell every night will be from burning stores and buildings in various places that happen to be the locations of their demonstrations. How do you think America will look then?
This is no BS editorial. This is the unvarnished, undeniable truth. You had better think about this seriously. Our American future depends on what we do about the incoming refugees.
This is a direct result of government failure. This is the shining example of why we must have strong, thinking, responsible leadership in Washington. It is also the best example yet of why we cannot afford to take a pass on who wins the Presidency. Those single issue voters who turn a blind eye to reality because they have not developed the intelligence to do otherwise will hurt this country and there will be no turning back.
There is no "swell" feeling about this for me. We are all going to find out about radicalism now. The liberals will be dodging bullets as they blame conservatives for their quagmire, That's why I call liberals "stupid", but, sadly, it's not enough.
We have been lucky in this country. Until now we have not had an enemy establish operating centers withing the United States. As we see it happening, certain things become more important, especially maintaining our ability to defend ourselves. On the political front we can write letters to our Congress and say that we will support the refugees over there but DO NOT bring them here! Write the letters while it may still make a difference!

October 27 Morning Coffee

Something I don't see enough of... what this election is really about...is preserving  what makes America strong...Capitalism. Unrestrained debt growth will destroy any country, and America is not immune. It leads to the only place it can go...confiscatory taxation of wealth. That wealth is invested and drives growth, businesses, jobs. Hillary knows that just like Obama knows it. All the fat cat Democrats know it. They don't care because by the time the economy tips, and investors run away, and the stock market crashes for the long haul...they'll have what they want and they will be gone from the scene. They simply are out for themselves and they DO NOT HAVE AMERICA'S LONG TERM HEALTH AT HEART.  This is unimaginable. It is outrageous! But it is true. If you load a horse with more and more people to carry...until the horse's back breaks...it is perfectly clear that you do not have the best interests of the horse at heart. Wouldn't you agree with that? Half the country is on food stamps/SNAP. Some 70 million workers do not pay any income taxes. Our open border allows illegal immigrants to flood into our country needing food and housing and medical care that they cannot afford, yet Obama and the Democrats do nothing about it. More proof that they simply do not consider America's long term heath important.
Have you ever really watched Hillary give a speech?
Her voice would work well for an evangelist. It's that style. So was Hitler's. Mussolini probably sounded the same way. That kind of voice gets people fired up so they will follow you right into a world war...or over any proverbial cliff. To be so smart, people can be really dumb...and manageable, malleable, easy to manipulate...and she thinks she knows how to do it. That's her real strength, but it is a weak one. She promises free stuff...typical Democrat style "Let's sell America's future down the road" for the vote. For those of us who are truly listening for substance and character, and wisdom, she does not have them and it shows. She is a shallow pool and it is obvious that SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE LONG TERM HEALTH AND STRENGTH OF AMERICA AT HEART.
But she will have followers, because people are dumb that way.

We must get the conservative vote out in 2016. And we have to be careful about who we nominate. Will calm, thinking people vote for Trump? I have my doubts. Carson has exactly what American needs right now. Calm, confident, logical, truthful, reasonable. Debates aren't really debates. Just because she is her own freak show doesn't mean he has to go to her level. With preparation he will cut her to pieces.

Conservative Americans Can Control This Mess

I am not a scientist, but there are reasonable conclusions that I can make about human induced climate change that are impossible to dismiss.
For something like 160,000 years the earth has been habitable by humans. Our climate has been relatively stable. Most certainly for the last 2000 years no one can deny that humans have been able to live on the surface of the planet without mass migrations and huge die offs. The sun has been baking all of this time. Heat has been rising from within the Earth to the surface. We are still here. Sure, there have been changes. The planet will never be completely static, unchanging. But can't we agree that Earth has been doing a pretty good balancing act on it's own? We all haven't been smothered with heat or frozen to extinction. That evidence is clear.
The balancing act, in simple terms, is that when Earth gets too hot, it cools itself off. And when it gets too cold, it warms itself up. Simple, yes. But that is the point.
Through Science, through population expansion, through waste management and clean water acquisition and all of the necessary logistics, we have managed to support humanity. If it weren't for the failures of politics, the failures of governments to anticipate population growth and build support...failure to free themselves from the vagaries of destructive, ingrained cultural issues, we could be feeding and supporting decent living standards for all of humanity much better than we do. Our achievements have come due to science. Science is objective...it does not involve God or religion. Science, with God's help, if you wish, is what has made our progress so impressive and successful... a human tool.
What makes Science so powerful is the scientific method. Scientific method manages to find at least some of the truth in things. Usable truth. Without the scientific method we might still be trying to turn lead into gold. We humans would have our feet planted somewhere in the long ago, difficult past.
The way I see it, the IPCC and the United Nations appear to have adopted something other than the scientific method to draw conclusions about climate change that are incredible...meaning without credibility.  They have not proven that humans induce significant climate change. They have produced models that have no real meaning and tons of rhetoric. Alarmists like Al Gore have made wild and fanciful predictions which have failed to materialize yet terrorized hundreds of millions of us into becoming politically active with bad information. Our media is parroting this mess every day and in every way nonstop.
I wonder if the reasons boil down to ignorance and egotism for the social media crowd. I think that goes without saying.
Money is a big reason. Green energy grants and loans mean hundreds of millions of dollars of US taxpayer money are flowing into the pockets of people who we will never know or hear about.  (Solyndra. Take a minute and review this major beneficiary of your stolen tax dollars.)
The G77  are 77 countries that comprise the relatively undeveloped world. They have failed to build their nations as their populations have increased while we in the US have built. They find themselves behind in crucial, basic support like clean water, waste disposal and virtually everything else. Their business environment is not what our's is. Their religious influence within the governments are suffocating. Remember, with separation of church and state, we don't have that problem. Without the ability for individuals to create production and service organizations...in our country we call them businesses...we are Capitalistic...far more individuals in those countries are left to barter and hustle for basic things that allow them to subsist day to day. Those countries find themselves way behind with no way to catch up. In Climate Change they see a way for them to demand money from developed countries for the weather damages derived from our acknowledged damage to the environment.  We can thank the United Nations for this.
We Americans really do not have the money to do for these countries what they should have been doing for themselves all along. We cannot finance nuclear power plants and wind farms in these poor countries. We are borrowing money just to keep our heads above water as it is.
For this question of human induced climate change I expect the world will soon take a step back and look at the whole of it and slow our reaction to something that more reasonably addresses the issue. Over reaction will be the legacy of many of our political leaders. Their motives are numerous and predictable.
Somehow our scientific community must figure out how to develop a consensus based on solid, evidence. The question and ramifications are far too significant to allow it to be driven by the United Nations/G77 and the greedy Al Gores of the world.
Meanwhile, low information social media publishers and television media will terrorize us with "in your face" claims that weather events around the world are the result of human induced climate change without one iota of evidence...and money hungry politicians and business people, who can only count the dollars to be made, praise and finance this circus. Earth has bigger fish to fry.
We sober, thinking individual Americans need to make our voices heard in 2016. We are the only sane bunch in Earth's crowd. We have been for a very long time. I am sure about me. What about you?

Cutting Taxes Will Increase Federal Tax Revenue

9/29/2015
This is an argument that was made by people like John F. Kennedy, Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan, Mellon. Famous people. Smart people. As tax rates have been cut from time to time in our history, tax revenues have increased. If you want  to understand this better read "Trickle Down Theory and Tax Cuts for the Rich". Listen, history is so very important because it keeps us from making the same mistakes over and over again. There are those who rewrite history through agendas...and probably more often from ignorance from negligence of due diligence in their research. This book gives you insight that you need. It is simply stated and easy to read. Downloadable to Kindle if you like on Amazon.
Right now Donald Trump has brought the idea of tax cuts to the surface. Hillary has already called it "Trickle Down". Trickle Down is a code word for miss-describing the real fix as voo doo economics..for her political purposes. Trickle is a lie. Tax cuts encourage investment in taxable investments which are the ones that fund expansion of present job creating companies and new job creating company formations. That is what we need. Jobs. Read it and educate yourself. Be a leader.
Hillary calls tax cuts as Trickle Down. She knows that is a lie.  By making this about class conflict she improves her chances of success.  That is playing politics with our future...with the future of all of those so much more needy than us. That's not what this country demands right now. Hillary Clinton is caught short on honor, once again.
Read. Learn. Vote. You have plenty of time.
Please share these blogs with your friends if you agree. Thanks.

Young Gangs and Welfare and Fatherless Families...Why Fathers Matter...Children Raising Children

Why do we have the high instances of failure in the black and poor communities in this country?  From the 1960's, government programs rewarded single parent households for children;  the more children they had... the more benefits they received.  Girls from unstable or incomplete backgrounds, beginning at puberty,  stood to gain financially by having children out of wedlock. Unemployed males were liabilities.  This brought about a rise in the number of unwed mothers and fatherless children that is still on the increase today.
We all know that in a group and family, accountability must be assigned and respected, or no one person will have the support of other members, they will not assume accountability, problems will not be addressed and original missions of the group will often fail. In the unstable family environment  which contributed to the problems of these mothers in the first place,  it is easy to see how stability and responsible behavior are often lacking from those same family members.
Logically speaking, all of these fatherless kids did not fall to this "absent parent" situation, but a significant percentage of them have. Welfare benefits being inadequate for full support,  these single parents still struggle, they have to work, and their children end up being cared for by grandparents and other extended family members.  As such, the situation, logically speaking, is often less than ideal and sometimes far less than adequate.
Significant  percentages of the children end up being left to daily activities without adult input or supervision.  Neighborhood children, spending after-school and weekend time together "playing",  benefit or suffer experiences and develop mores and values more common among children with negative inputs from their experiences all around and without any constant or significant positive adult management. My point is that these children basically raise each other. And I believe that is why gangs are so numerous and strong. Gangs are more of the same...raising each other! Makes sense, doesn't it?
They do not have a parent who brings them in in the evening, one who puts a hot supper on the table every night, one who actually talks and shows interest in them and what's going on in their lives. Their parent is too busy to know who they are spending time with and what their activities with their friends are during the day. These kids end up raising each other without benefit of adult supervision.  Since the 1960's, we have henceforth ended up with 4 generations of young people who have had children out of wedlock as single parents as a rule  rather than the exception.
These at "risk and losing" youngsters have no frame of reference for success for themselves. Their only desire is for immediate gratification with little concern for the future or the consequences of their actions.  They have no experience with treating each other or anyone else with respect. Their code is immediate gratification instead of the Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Unfortunately, instead, it is to get what you can while the getting is good.
These kids grow up with drug and alcohol abuse as a large part of their lives. You know that instances of sexual abuse by dysfunctional  elders and other children have to be common.  Is it any wonder that impulsive, destructive  behavior is so much in their lives? They do not understand success. They take it personally that they do not have the material things that successful people have. They believe prejudicial rhetoric by national figures that lay the blame for their apparent failing condition and unhappiness at the feet of the successful.
We see terrible acts by people with no hope of escape from the consequences. It is a real question why young people seem to act in ways that destroy their lives.
I believe that they don't see success in their futures. They see what they have before them, more negative and disappointing results, failure, suffering, death or incarceration at a young age. Their outlook is to take what they can get today because there may not be a tomorrow. This fatalistic view is very real for them. We see that and we scratch our heads at wonder...how could he do something like that? If he had had a father and a mother, if he had been taught to respect other people at a young age, if he had been raised with positive feedback instead of worrisome negatives , if he had had supper with his family everyday and was convinced to do his homework and study... to anticipate success and happiness with his own family with his own bright future, would he have been shot down by another drug dealer on the streets at 3 am?
Raising a family is not something that should be taken lightly. It is labor intensive and expensive. Those who decide to do it alone risk failure, the welfare and futures of their children who may be raised by other children, and most certainly will be raised in part by family members who have no  responsibility for the outcome. It is not impossible to do a good job but it is not easy, and for various reasons many seem not to have been able to pull it off, at the cost of  perhaps 3 or 4 lost generations.
The extremely high rate and number of abortions by young, black women  says something about how they are realizing that having a child alone is not all flowers and laughter and love. There is no doubt that love in a home is what they yearn for, but one must work hard and prepare one's self for it.  It is a shame that they have to come to that action further damaging their own self images further.
Given plenty of financial assets it may appear easy for a liberal minded young woman to have a baby on her own, but the appearance quickly changes when reality sets in.  Hollywood's Murphy Brown was a liberal dream, a wonderful place where an alone female handled all of the responsibilities with little problem sailing through all of the challenges with easy success. That's a Hollywood illusion. The negative outcome can just as easily be the  single, white Sandy Hook mother with adequate money and a kid who buries his head in violent computer games blows away an elementary school.
That's how  Hollywood fiction, national celebrities and liberal politicians are literally beating the hell out of minorities, helping to create  a sub-population of hopeless people with no vision of a successful future or a productive, fulfilling  life. Instead they create the illusion that all will be well without a father for their children. It's easy to buy into the illusion. The picture they paint doesn't address the situation fraught with difficulties that a "modern woman" faces to raise a child on her own who cannot imagine the risk and pain they are bringing to their families and their soon to be troubled and destroyed children. Murphy Brown does not exist. There are no "super women". There is only reality. A father's job is to teach this and the Golden Rule to his children.  It takes a village to raise a child is not reality.  Hillary says it takes a village. I say if you leave your child to the Hillary's village, that child will suffer because of it. It takes two to raise a child...a mother and a father.

United Nations and IPCC Fraud on Developed Nations

3rd world electrification is an important process and should be pursued by all countries. I fear the IPCC and the UN have been compromised in this pursuit by changing data and creating a perceived liability by developed nations in that they will not be allowed to utilize coal and must develop using wind and solar...and nuclear...and will require developed nations to pretty much foot the bill. Now I see that developed nations stand extortion for raising the CO2 levels, placing these same G77 countries in more danger from natural events. This is a circus...a transparent attempt by G77 to pull wealth from developed countries. We may as well say it. How else will they try to use this falsified data against us? Time will tell. What is plain is that there are plenty of minds working this problem for them.

Income Inequality

What to do? Well, why is your income so low compared to others? In America, if you want to survive well, you need to do what they told you in the first grade. Go to school, study hard and learn your lessons, believe in yourself, set goals, and don't let anything stop you from attaining those goals. Life in the United States is an opportunity...not a welfare line to stand in.
If you are young and are working for minimum wage, where we all started out, you should be in school, too. Because that is not where any of us want to stay. You work, you learn how to be a good employee, you learn a skill, you should always be looking for a better job. Always. Minimum wage jobs are entry level jobs and are meant to be positions for learning. Once you learn the skill of the job and of being a reliable employee you are expected to move on.
If there are simply no better jobs around, you have a choice. You can start your own business or you can move to a place where job prospects are better. Or you can stay where you are and protest for a higher income.
Things your Dad should have told you:
Be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. It's the Scout Law and it applies to everyone as a code for success.
Remember, we are all human beings. Most of us are doing our best. What you hear about in social  and television media is news about those who have problems that they have brought on themselves by making mistakes and poor decisions. They are a small number in our large group. Help is available for them but our country is not able to support them. Working toward progress is up to them, just like it is for everyone else. Those that blame the country, conservatives, one race or another...those people are giving the poor a reason for suffering, not relief from suffering.

Good Morning August 25, 2015

Bernie Sanders is saying things about the free market being old and worn out and responsible for our problems. What is there about an unfree market that would be better, Bernie? Tell us what a Socialist would do...and don't forget the part about the Government using force.
What's new about Hillary Clinton? Not much. Does she care what anyone else thinks? She is arrogantly dismissive of questions about her "issues".  I don't think she is concerned about them. I think she is stupid in that way. God forbid anyone should suggest it, but she HAS been riding Bill's coat tails forever.  It's like we are all hypnotized by her...like she is Aunt Bee...and even though she is Al Capone, Baby Face Nelson and John Gotti all rolled up in a package flavored by cheap, Chinese made  Gardenia flower "perfume" in a perfectly horrible orange pantsuit, so many people just want to give her a big, old hug. It must be leftovers of sympathy for Bill's and Monica's tryst.  All I have heard her campaigning about is income equality, universal, federally funded child care, and now a free college education...and of course, how bad the Republicans are and how good the mindless socialist Clintons are. And that laugh...honestly...to me...it sounds like a machine gun working a ditch line in Germany, 1942.
There are easy answers to all three of these issues...but not here this time. It's too long and breakfast is ready.

Right quick,  on the political front, here's my take so far.
I really liked Ted Cruz reading Dr. Seuss on C-Span to the Senate.
I like Carla and Ben. I like Lindsey and Rick
Perry. If I had to choose right now, I'd pick Rick Perry.
Something I read online: We have a lot of good people to choose from. Why can't the Democrats produce just one?

Mr. President, Trust Matters

Our President and John Kerry have a deal with Iran, with two secret agreements that they will not tell us about. I do not trust these two men to conduct the negotiations without throwing the baby out with the bath water. I hope Congress can either get to the bottom of this or throw the agreement out.
I would like to see us with a better system for checking out prospective gun purchasers before allowing them to buy a gun. But I know that once we open the door to restrictions the Democrats will increase their push. They won't be happy until only criminals will have the ability to protect themselves with a firearm. The agenda has been clear all of my life. Obama can say that he just wants the same that I do but I do not believe him. I do not trust him. Yes, trust matters.
And if you doubt that I am correct to doubt his sincerity, remember back to how the Affordable Care Act was put together in secrecy and Obama rushed the thing through his Democrat Congress literally before anyone had a chance to read it through.
I don't trust him. I don't trust the Democrats. I am thankful that we have our U.S. Constitution to back us up. If not for that, he and his paid activists, his paid protesters, and his terrorized, controlled  media would have sold us all down the river a long time ago. He sits back and smiles, enjoying how smart he is, while we do the dancing. I am sick and tired of him. I know what he has done, how he has pretty much made a complete mockery of the office, and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. I'll be a happy man when he and John Kerry are unemployed.

Supreme Court Spanked Democrats Heavy Hands/Upside Of Gay Marriage

The Democrats' efforts to force states to build their own ACA exchanges was trounced by the Supreme Court this week. The decision COULD have had desperate ramifications for Obamacare...but as it is, only left egg on Democrats' faces...and Obama's.
As for the gays getting their turn at the alter, I don't understand the hoopla. Marriage is a contract. When broken, as in divorce, there are issues that must be adjudicated by a judge and expensive lawyers. We "Hets" have been paying through the nose for years. Why should gays have it so easy? Bring on the lawyers!
ISIS will hate us even more, not that we should be even remotely concerned about that. We are all armed. When  ISIS comes over here we'll dispatch them to Allah in short order. They are really easy to identify.
I honest to God wish all gays happiness and a fullfilled life. Everyone deserves that...except criminals...and crooked politicians. And just think about all the extra liquor money the preachers will have! That's a good thing.

Signs and Symptoms of Acute Radiation Sickness- From Atomic Bomb Attack

If you are unlucky enough NOT to be vaporized by an atomic bomb, and you are close or in the fallout pattern, this is what you probably have to look forward to:

Mild to severe headache.
High fever
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Dizziness and disorientation
Hypotension
Electrolyte disturbance
Severe leukopenia (Wipes out your white blood cells resulting in inability to fight off infections from burns and pneumonia, stuff like that.)

Shock logically follows where lowing blood pressure fails to supply needed organs, cold, wet, blue skin, tachycardia, lose carotid and femoral pulses, say good bye to Mama.
The good part in all of this is that all of us...our children, too,... will be doing the same thing so none of us will notice the other's suffering.
Yes. This is straight from Hell.
And our President is busy reassuring Iran that they will be able to build nuclear weapons in the long...10 year...run. The same Democrat who's only bona fide is that of having been a college teacher , some senate experience of politics, and a community organizer.
This is the same Iranian Ayatollah that swears destruction of Israel is what he is all about and whose military drills at attacking American Aircraft Carriers for fun and training. Democrats. Liberals. Planning for failure. Taking us with them. Please pass this along and vote.   Jim Self

Hillary's Success is a Symptom of What is Wrong With the US.

This article has some age on it but it is even more relevant because we now have some hindsight on how it actually went.

 http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20121031/PC1601/121039838?fb_action_ids=10206428684614731&fb_action_types=og.comments

I like that..."40 years in retail politics". The author thinks this is wonderful stuff, great for the Clintons. I couldn't have said it better myself. Retail sales of what? Of access. Political access...of what they can do for you, their contributor, when they get elected. The entire political system has been replaced by "Retail sales of access and, to make sure this is clear, favors". That's what it is all about. It's a dance and the Clintons are the hosts. All three of them. Yes. $75,000 apiece to hear Chelsey Clinton talk for an hour. $200,000 for Hillary for 1 hour. Yes. Retail sales of access and favors.
Hillary has three charitable foundations. What is the bet that she has funneled tens of millions of dollars illegally from them into her political action efforts and that the accounting is non-transparent, which is to say that it is forever hidden away, destroyed by some accident or oversight or that she just considered it private and none of our business...that she broke the law. In speculation, would it surprise you?
TV News finds out that laws have been broken and puts pressure on the Government to do something about it, pressure on officials to go the extra mile and do their jobs. Remember Watergate? That is the way it worked then. But the TV News has been compromised by managers who won't allow their investigative reporters to follow these stories to their ends anymore. TV News managers have owners as bosses and this must be placed at their feet. Owners are in the backgrounds calling the shots. TV News is no longer reliable and except for the new news stations that are fighting this phenomenon, and being attacked by liberals for it, the politicians find themselves without public oversight. The cat is away, the country's leadership has been for sale for years. My estimate is for 15 or 20 years. "Clinton's" time. That is what happened to the economy. All of those worthless mortgages sold to sub-prime, meaning "unlikely to perform", borrowers and politicians paid to turn their heads and deny the inevitable crash, while  busy selling access and favors for contributions for re-election and lining their pockets.
I am not sure how to fix all of this, but building  strong, credible, and persistent TV Media is a "must". Another "must" is electing responsible, moral, intelligent political leaders who are more interested in the country's future than getting re-elected and lining their own pockets. In choosing our political leaders, insisting on moral character and an unblemished record is NOT a superflous, religiously based discrimination that we should throw to the winds. A record that shows an affinity to telling the truth and facing up to responsibility in one's purpose in life  is absolutely necessary for a politician. Especially for a politician.  Access and favors should not be for sale by a politician! This is poison to our political system!
To me, the Clintons are exactly what this country does not need. Their history is full of doubtful enterprises covered by thin excuses and reads like a badly written  novel. What the heck are we doing allowing our country to get itself into a situation where we appear about to elect this person whose integrity has been called into question in so many instances it confounds the imagination why they weren't cast aside long ago? Their apparent success is a symptom of the diseased condition of our political system.  From where I stand, it doesn't look good.

Liberalism: Americans Planning to Fail

Fred Hiatt is The Washington Post's editorial page editor  and he has a outlook on Social Security reform that is enlightening and unfortunate.  See Fred's editorial here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-new-party-of-no/2015/03/22/05c5fc3a-cf07-11e4-a2a7-9517a3a70506_story.html
What I read there is a liberal tactic that goes something like this:  when someone is talking about cutting, liberals start talk about expanding...and meet in the middle...if they have to. In case of the Social Security debate it "has taken on a life of itself."  And that being a liberal agenda, it must include expanding Social Security to include other generous social giveaway programs..so much so that THAT may be the last big social welfare expansion necessary to bring the numbers of employed down far enough...and bring the number of those on the entitled teat up enough, to tilt Capitalism over into Socialism.  Liberalism: Americans Planning to fail. Where we all are equally poor and miserable.

It's pretty good reading.

6.7 Million SS Numbers 112 years old or older No Big Deal

When we report that Social Security has found some 6.7  million SS numbers of people who would be at least 112 years old, we should include the rest of the news about it. No, it does not mean Social Security has been paying these people. And no, it does not mean they  represent Medicare fraud. In fact, many are employed and contributing money...over 3 billion dollars a year...whether they are legal or illegal... it's a positive...not a negative...So you can calm down. NOT saying anything about illegal aliens...for Christ's sake! It is what it is.
And what it does mean is that they need to do their accounting for the dead a little better. You don't have to take my word for it. Go to:  http://oig.ssa.gov/sites/default/files/audit/full/pdf/A-06-14-34030_0.pdf and read the analysis of the Social Security Inspector General's report for yourself.
Doesn't look like any more than that.

Trust Netanyahu, Not Obama and Kerry on Nuclear Iran

The IAEA, International Atomic Energy Agency, the  United Nations watchdog group says Iran is "slow to cooperate" with their efforts to monitor production of what everyone believes is weapons grade plutonium. Obama and Kerry are saying Iran is cooperating. In this case, Benjamin Netanyahu is telling us the truth and Obama and Kerry are not. It's simple.

How To Figure Drip Rates.

For My Friends and  Paramedic Students:
From hardest to easiest.
How To Figure Drip Rates:
Dopamine Infusion How to
Need three things for figuring a drip rate.
1. Dosage called for
2. Concentration of your supply  (RATIO..  "Some number : 1")
3. What are the Drops per CC in your Drip Set?

Example:
Doctor says to start a dopamine drip and start at 10 mcg/kg/minute.

1.Dosage is 10 mcg/kg/minute. She weighs 137 pounds. 137/2.2 is 62.3 or just 62 kgs. 62kgs x 10 equals 610 mcg/minute.
2 Concentration.  You have 400mg Dopamine in 250cc in a preloaded bag.
Do this in your head. How many times will 250 go into 1000? 4.
Multiply both numbers, 400 and 250, by 4 and you get 1600mg/1000cc. For the ratio you need some number to 1. 1000 is the magic number for the ratio computation because once you get it you can move the decimal point to the left three places in both numbers, reducing it down to a useable "some number to 1".  In this case it is 1600mcg:1cc or 1600:1.

(Ask your instructor how to include extra fluid if you use a vial to mix into your fluid. Probably won't include it in you computations.)
3. You use a mini drip (60 drops/ml, 60 gtts/ml) for Dopamine. After you figure it a few times you will understand why a 10, 20, 30 won't work well with Dopamine. Be patient.

To compute simple infusion: It's easy. The dosage is 610mcg/minute. Ratio is 1600:1. So, 610mcg/1600mcg/ml= .38 ml. The mcg,s cancel out. (By inspection you can easily see that it will be less than 1/2 cc a minute at 10, checking your answer.)
Then, to find out how many drops per minute that is you multiply by the drops per ml in your set. .38x60=22.8 or 23.

For a simple IV KVO line like NS, 150/hour. Simple.
150cc/60minutes=2.5ml/minute multiplied by the gtts of your drip set. Let's say it is a 10 gtts/ml set.. 2.5 x 10 =  25gtts/minute.

If it is a simple drip of a drug, like Lidocaine, 1-4 mg/minute:
Dose...1-4 mg/minute.
Ratio...1 gram in 250...1000/250. You CAN simply do the math...1000/250 is 4. 4:1. 4mg/ML.
By inspection, 1 mg equals 1/4 ml. 1/4 of 60 is 15. So the rate range is 15-60 drops per minute.
You will be doing these in your head easily with a little practice.
Do a few of these. If your get stuck give me a call at 270-1374.  Jim Self

Democrats Are Bankrupt, Republicans Are Coming

Jim Self's Blog   February 27, 2015
The fact that the Democrats don't have an alternative to Hillary Clinton in 2016 means they are bankrupt of leadership. They have no one to deliver their message because they do not have one. They have relied on a false prophet for ten years and now they are tied to him and cannot shake loose.
This election is not over, however. We still have the Republicans to entertain us. Hopefully we will produce a leader with a few answers, someone who has common sense and a willingness to negotiate with Congress to "get things done", to use Obama's words which are belabored and beyond his reach.
Hillary, as we all know, is a socialist right out of the sixties. She is the person standing in the back, sipping champagne while she quietly criticizes good people who are trying to make a difference. Folks nod their heads. She thinks they are agreeing and that is a sign that she would have their support in her Presidential election...her mind works like that, I'll wager...wouldn't you?  But really, they just wish she would shut up so they could hear.
If we learned anything from 2014 it is that a significantly large number of Democratic voters will not vote unless they have a "savior" running. I see Bush, Ryan, Christie...but I don't see a "savior". Then I see Ben Carson and in him I see a shot in the arm that this nation desperately needs and he can beat Hillary hands down. His is a message of common sense and personal responsibility. Experience does not matter nearly as much as some claim. Character and personal integrity matter so much more. I sincerely hope we can nominate the man and get him elected. Jim Self
