Income Inequality

What to do? Well, why is your income so low compared to others? In America, if you want to survive well, you need to do what they told you in the first grade. Go to school, study hard and learn your lessons, believe in yourself, set goals, and don't let anything stop you from attaining those goals. Life in the United States is an opportunity...not a welfare line to stand in.
If you are young and are working for minimum wage, where we all started out, you should be in school, too. Because that is not where any of us want to stay. You work, you learn how to be a good employee, you learn a skill, you should always be looking for a better job. Always. Minimum wage jobs are entry level jobs and are meant to be positions for learning. Once you learn the skill of the job and of being a reliable employee you are expected to move on.
If there are simply no better jobs around, you have a choice. You can start your own business or you can move to a place where job prospects are better. Or you can stay where you are and protest for a higher income.
Things your Dad should have told you:
Be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. It's the Scout Law and it applies to everyone as a code for success.
Remember, we are all human beings. Most of us are doing our best. What you hear about in social  and television media is news about those who have problems that they have brought on themselves by making mistakes and poor decisions. They are a small number in our large group. Help is available for them but our country is not able to support them. Working toward progress is up to them, just like it is for everyone else. Those that blame the country, conservatives, one race or another...those people are giving the poor a reason for suffering, not relief from suffering.

Good Morning August 25, 2015

Bernie Sanders is saying things about the free market being old and worn out and responsible for our problems. What is there about an unfree market that would be better, Bernie? Tell us what a Socialist would do...and don't forget the part about the Government using force.
What's new about Hillary Clinton? Not much. Does she care what anyone else thinks? She is arrogantly dismissive of questions about her "issues".  I don't think she is concerned about them. I think she is stupid in that way. God forbid anyone should suggest it, but she HAS been riding Bill's coat tails forever.  It's like we are all hypnotized by her...like she is Aunt Bee...and even though she is Al Capone, Baby Face Nelson and John Gotti all rolled up in a package flavored by cheap, Chinese made  Gardenia flower "perfume" in a perfectly horrible orange pantsuit, so many people just want to give her a big, old hug. It must be leftovers of sympathy for Bill's and Monica's tryst.  All I have heard her campaigning about is income equality, universal, federally funded child care, and now a free college education...and of course, how bad the Republicans are and how good the mindless socialist Clintons are. And that laugh...honestly...to me...it sounds like a machine gun working a ditch line in Germany, 1942.
There are easy answers to all three of these issues...but not here this time. It's too long and breakfast is ready.

Right quick,  on the political front, here's my take so far.
I really liked Ted Cruz reading Dr. Seuss on C-Span to the Senate.
I like Carla and Ben. I like Lindsey and Rick
Perry. If I had to choose right now, I'd pick Rick Perry.
Something I read online: We have a lot of good people to choose from. Why can't the Democrats produce just one?

Mr. President, Trust Matters

Our President and John Kerry have a deal with Iran, with two secret agreements that they will not tell us about. I do not trust these two men to conduct the negotiations without throwing the baby out with the bath water. I hope Congress can either get to the bottom of this or throw the agreement out.
I would like to see us with a better system for checking out prospective gun purchasers before allowing them to buy a gun. But I know that once we open the door to restrictions the Democrats will increase their push. They won't be happy until only criminals will have the ability to protect themselves with a firearm. The agenda has been clear all of my life. Obama can say that he just wants the same that I do but I do not believe him. I do not trust him. Yes, trust matters.
And if you doubt that I am correct to doubt his sincerity, remember back to how the Affordable Care Act was put together in secrecy and Obama rushed the thing through his Democrat Congress literally before anyone had a chance to read it through.
I don't trust him. I don't trust the Democrats. I am thankful that we have our U.S. Constitution to back us up. If not for that, he and his paid activists, his paid protesters, and his terrorized, controlled  media would have sold us all down the river a long time ago. He sits back and smiles, enjoying how smart he is, while we do the dancing. I am sick and tired of him. I know what he has done, how he has pretty much made a complete mockery of the office, and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. I'll be a happy man when he and John Kerry are unemployed.

Supreme Court Spanked Democrats Heavy Hands/Upside Of Gay Marriage

The Democrats' efforts to force states to build their own ACA exchanges was trounced by the Supreme Court this week. The decision COULD have had desperate ramifications for Obamacare...but as it is, only left egg on Democrats' faces...and Obama's.
As for the gays getting their turn at the alter, I don't understand the hoopla. Marriage is a contract. When broken, as in divorce, there are issues that must be adjudicated by a judge and expensive lawyers. We "Hets" have been paying through the nose for years. Why should gays have it so easy? Bring on the lawyers!
ISIS will hate us even more, not that we should be even remotely concerned about that. We are all armed. When  ISIS comes over here we'll dispatch them to Allah in short order. They are really easy to identify.
I honest to God wish all gays happiness and a fullfilled life. Everyone deserves that...except criminals...and crooked politicians. And just think about all the extra liquor money the preachers will have! That's a good thing.

Signs and Symptoms of Acute Radiation Sickness- From Atomic Bomb Attack

If you are unlucky enough NOT to be vaporized by an atomic bomb, and you are close or in the fallout pattern, this is what you probably have to look forward to:

Mild to severe headache.
High fever
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Dizziness and disorientation
Hypotension
Electrolyte disturbance
Severe leukopenia (Wipes out your white blood cells resulting in inability to fight off infections from burns and pneumonia, stuff like that.)

Shock logically follows where lowing blood pressure fails to supply needed organs, cold, wet, blue skin, tachycardia, lose carotid and femoral pulses, say good bye to Mama.
The good part in all of this is that all of us...our children, too,... will be doing the same thing so none of us will notice the other's suffering.
Yes. This is straight from Hell.
And our President is busy reassuring Iran that they will be able to build nuclear weapons in the long...10 year...run. The same Democrat who's only bona fide is that of having been a college teacher , some senate experience of politics, and a community organizer.
This is the same Iranian Ayatollah that swears destruction of Israel is what he is all about and whose military drills at attacking American Aircraft Carriers for fun and training. Democrats. Liberals. Planning for failure. Taking us with them. Please pass this along and vote.   Jim Self

Hillary's Success is a Symptom of What is Wrong With the US.

This article has some age on it but it is even more relevant because we now have some hindsight on how it actually went.

I like that..."40 years in retail politics". The author thinks this is wonderful stuff, great for the Clintons. I couldn't have said it better myself. Retail sales of what? Of access. Political access...of what they can do for you, their contributor, when they get elected. The entire political system has been replaced by "Retail sales of access and, to make sure this is clear, favors". That's what it is all about. It's a dance and the Clintons are the hosts. All three of them. Yes. $75,000 apiece to hear Chelsey Clinton talk for an hour. $200,000 for Hillary for 1 hour. Yes. Retail sales of access and favors.
Hillary has three charitable foundations. What is the bet that she has funneled tens of millions of dollars illegally from them into her political action efforts and that the accounting is non-transparent, which is to say that it is forever hidden away, destroyed by some accident or oversight or that she just considered it private and none of our business...that she broke the law. In speculation, would it surprise you?
TV News finds out that laws have been broken and puts pressure on the Government to do something about it, pressure on officials to go the extra mile and do their jobs. Remember Watergate? That is the way it worked then. But the TV News has been compromised by managers who won't allow their investigative reporters to follow these stories to their ends anymore. TV News managers have owners as bosses and this must be placed at their feet. Owners are in the backgrounds calling the shots. TV News is no longer reliable and except for the new news stations that are fighting this phenomenon, and being attacked by liberals for it, the politicians find themselves without public oversight. The cat is away, the country's leadership has been for sale for years. My estimate is for 15 or 20 years. "Clinton's" time. That is what happened to the economy. All of those worthless mortgages sold to sub-prime, meaning "unlikely to perform", borrowers and politicians paid to turn their heads and deny the inevitable crash, while  busy selling access and favors for contributions for re-election and lining their pockets.
I am not sure how to fix all of this, but building  strong, credible, and persistent TV Media is a "must". Another "must" is electing responsible, moral, intelligent political leaders who are more interested in the country's future than getting re-elected and lining their own pockets. In choosing our political leaders, insisting on moral character and an unblemished record is NOT a superflous, religiously based discrimination that we should throw to the winds. A record that shows an affinity to telling the truth and facing up to responsibility in one's purpose in life  is absolutely necessary for a politician. Especially for a politician.  Access and favors should not be for sale by a politician! This is poison to our political system!
To me, the Clintons are exactly what this country does not need. Their history is full of doubtful enterprises covered by thin excuses and reads like a badly written  novel. What the heck are we doing allowing our country to get itself into a situation where we appear about to elect this person whose integrity has been called into question in so many instances it confounds the imagination why they weren't cast aside long ago? Their apparent success is a symptom of the diseased condition of our political system.  From where I stand, it doesn't look good.

Liberalism: Americans Planning to Fail

Fred Hiatt is The Washington Post's editorial page editor  and he has a outlook on Social Security reform that is enlightening and unfortunate.  See Fred's editorial here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-new-party-of-no/2015/03/22/05c5fc3a-cf07-11e4-a2a7-9517a3a70506_story.html
What I read there is a liberal tactic that goes something like this:  when someone is talking about cutting, liberals start talk about expanding...and meet in the middle...if they have to. In case of the Social Security debate it "has taken on a life of itself."  And that being a liberal agenda, it must include expanding Social Security to include other generous social giveaway programs..so much so that THAT may be the last big social welfare expansion necessary to bring the numbers of employed down far enough...and bring the number of those on the entitled teat up enough, to tilt Capitalism over into Socialism.  Liberalism: Americans Planning to fail. Where we all are equally poor and miserable.

It's pretty good reading.
